Making Sense

How exactly does one go about looking for love. Looking for love can be done in all the wrong places like that song I've heard. But is the online dating thing for me? Do I go for those silly personals in the newspapers, or just sign up for one of those totally expensive dating services. Nah, that last one is for the birds. I'm sure there has got to be a sure way to meet someone and I know for certain it's not at the grocery mart. That is for sure. Oh well, maybe I will get a sign one day telling me what, who and where to look.

The other day I was reading this galz blog and a post about some random guy coming up to her and saying NICE LIPS. And her thoughts as they ramble on were, ... What if I had been doing a very complex DNA computation in my head, because I was an AIDS researcher on the verge of discovering an amazing new wonderdrug, and as I was walking along I was mapping out my morning lab work when all of a sudden Mr. Idiot blurted out, NICE LIPS and distracted me? Then I'd have lost my place and it would have been all for naught. That is why guys should leave women alone... Everybody agrees that technology and specially Internet will make life easier and help people to have more free time and spend it with family and friends if they are used as a tool. But maybe we are wrong as members of families not only do not get together but also they feel more lonely because they do not speak to each other, but staring at TV or computer monitors.

Have you even stopped to think about how life is different now than how it was when you were a child? You know, back in the "Good Ole Days". Think about it. What did you have in your house when you were 10 years old? Did you have air conditioning? Color TV? Some of us are older than others. But, there are quite a few differences in living today than just a few decades ago. If you don't really make yourself conscience of them, they can sneak up on you. What would be your idea of the most significant innovation that has come along during your lifetime? A good example for the 1980s might be the VCR. And, the microwave oven. Most of us would agree that the home computer would be the winner for the 1990s. With the home computer, we could do an enormous number of things such as research, making foriegn friends, or looking up almost any subject in the world. Just this morning, I was able to use my computer to check out 6 Channel Car Amplifier. I never would have dreamed of this when I was a child!

Got home from another uneventful and boring day at work. Traffic was swelling and the noxious fumes from the tail pipes is really getting to me. I can even smell it through the vents in the interior of my car. It just makes me wanna find a job that's closer to home, more convenient and less of a commute. But then again, you may not be able to haven't every wish you want in life, right? But when I come home, this computer, this blog, this very digital existances where I come alive and can find out more about anything I want, whether it's about skydiving, travelling, mountain cliff diving, 101 Board Cash Flow Game, or anything else for that matter, I just come alive when I get home. Man, that noise is driving me crazy! The condo next door is being remodeled, and it's unbelievable how the sound carries through the walls. It makes it impossible to concentrate. I was sitting at my computer doing a search for lcd televisions, and there's a big bam! behind me. I love it when you have an epiphany. It's like when you sit there and strain your mind over finding a solution for something for days. And nothing. Not one iota of an idea. Then finally, it hits you somehow on the third or fourth day, and BAMMO! Like a truck out of nowhere, that grandioso idea hits you and you just get the most awesome rush of excitement through your body that your brain served up the answer. That's just the best. Like, I was taken up into their spaceship see, and like, you wouldn't believe it, they actually had Allstate Financial Workplace Division websites showing up all over their control screens! I mean, like, I knew the world wide web was getting large but covering the whole universe? Man that was something to see. I was then taken to dinner where we had their local foods that looked a lot like tar and smelled just as bad. Who knew? But I was always told to be polite so I ate with them and them looked me over with all 14 eyeballs and said I was free to go. I then said, like where man? It's amazing how the difference in decades between my parents and me can have such an impact on perspective. But if you think about it, people in the 60s and 70s had much different things to think about than what we now have to compute in our brains here in the 21st centruy. Things are so much faster, and things change so fast, that one can easily get lost in all this technology. But is it not nice when you go to a search engine and just go looking for something, anything, could be on, I don't know, 3d Laser Engraved Crystal Macine, and there is everything you need and could want to find every possible valuable resource on that topic. Yup, even if it is about just that, the internet is the most amazing thing ever and gives you the world at your fingertips.

I got this email the other day that had a bunch of pictures of famous movie stars, singers like Madonna and Barbara Streisand -- but basically, very well known people. Anywho, each individual had two pictures in this email. A before makeup shot and an after makeup shot. And let me tell you, what a difference make-up makes. It's almost like some of these websites that feel they have to put on a show with all their fancy graphics and flash animations. I just personally can really appreciate the plain white background sites. Like this one site when I was search for 13 Bankruptcy Chapter Memphis on the net the other day -- and wouldn't you know it. Right at the top, there it was. The site that gave me everything I needed on the topic. Point on. Back to these famous stars, some of them were seriously gross and were downright ugly. Boy what a different make-up makes.

One thing I love to do on my day off is just start surfing some web sites and see where it leads me. In the past I would just start with a search engine and head out! Often I would find myself on a great site like Asbestos Attorney Cancer Law Mesothelioma and bookmark it as a great resource. But with the popularity of blogs now I usually start with some of the biggest and check out what hits my fancy. Which comes to my find for today. When I was living in southern California a few years ago I had the chance many times to visit Disneyland and had a great time. On main street while there I always noticed a second story above one of the main buildings and had wondered what was up there. Well now I don't have to wonder anymore as the Orange County Register has a web site with an interactive tour of Walt Disney's private apartment overlooking Disneyland's Main Street, USA. Wonderful full apartment view with some interesting information on the items in the apartment.

Man, really frustrating. One day, I look at my website and I've got a page rank of 4 and then I wake up and it's gone. What the heck...? I need a vacation. I've been working too hard and I am on go-go all the time. I know it is time for a vacation when I'm on edge, my nerves are jittery, and I haven't had a drop of caffeine. I will be glad when my current project is over. One of the great things about living here is that I can jump on my bike at a moment's notice and ride to the mountains and instantly de-stress. Take yesterday for example, I was writing and article on Acting Agents Listings for an obscure publication and I was having terrible writers block. So I jumped on the bike 10 minutes later I was riding up a goat track, surrounded by some of the most beautiful scenery you can imagine. What a way to meet your spouse! It was my birthday night and my ex who had been wanting to get back together with me, since who knows when, takes me out to dinner and a broadway show and we get back around midnight. Then, I sign online to check my messages and someone sent me a random birthday card. That turns out to be my spouse 9 months later. Amazing. I use Northwest Airlines Visa Credit Card and for Y! it now shows some of my old sites are linked to by 6000 other sites. This is very interesting. I don't where those numbers are, but I think the app. is pulling from somewhere new in Y! Those are 99.99% links that count, and they don't show up in the app. with names. I'm guessing they are scraper sites.
